I commented a ways down on my being absent from reading/commenting, but I thought I’d just put another here where you might see it.

I think it’s hysterical that now beauty/fashion magazines declared blue nails ‘in’ because a few actresses wore them blue at some event (I skimmed the article). Dammit, I’ve been wearing blue for years and years and most of the time all I ever got were, “Why the hell, out of all the colors, are you wearing blue?!”, “They make blue nail polish?” and “Are those your real nails?” (my nails are hugely long. Not as long as the fake acrylic nails with crystals in ‘em that I keep seeing, but as far as natural nails go? They’re long.) Now blue is ‘hot’?

Dear god fashion is annoying sometimes. Like the whole black nail polish thing. I’ve been wearing black for years too, but I’ll be damned if I’d pay a hundred dollars for a bottle of Black Satin on eBay like SO MANY women did! It boggles the mind, it truly does.

I shall stop rambling here, but before I do let me just say that I’m so glad that you’re writing again! I’ve missed your awesome photos and reviews on the various kinds of nail polish out there in the world. You be awesome, woman.

Hi Angelique! I get odd comments when I wear my crazy colors too. I say screw ‘em. Wear what you like and own it. I’m glad you stuck with me because I sure did miss all of you.

Beauty Alchemist – I do have a link to your blog in my list but because I put the “The” in the link, it has you listed near the bottom.

I saw your post about the mani on the cover of the Sephora catalog. It’s the first thing I noticed when I looked through my mail this weekend. I hope you try it yourself and let me know how you like the look. I did a star-spangled crazy looking french for the 4th of July last summer. I used a red base and added silver and blue sparkly french lines at the tips. I picked up the idea from a crafty MUA gal.
