Go Green – Turn In Your Toxins
Turn In Your Toxins!! Turn In Your Toxins!! Just saying it makes me feel like a 19th century Newsie. You know, the kind that got to dance and frolic with the hotness that is Christian Bale circa 1992. I gotta give it up to the brains behind butter London for coming up with an eye catching line.
In conjunction with Earth Day and in an effort to detoxify your nail routine the Seattle based nail lacquer brand is asking you to ditch your toluene, formaldehyde and DBP laden polishes. Just relinquish 3 bottles of your old, toxic, nail polish and receive a coupon for a FREE bottle of their 3 Free formula lacquer.
But where do you go to score such a deal? butter London has teamed up with BrandHabit to help you locate a nearby retailer. BrandHabit is an online boutique locator that finds where your favorite designers are carried; from major labels to indie brands, including butter London. Unfortunately, butter London hasn’t made it to every small town in the land but it looks like some of major metros are included. Head on over to BrandHabit to find out!
what do i do if i can’t find a nearby boutique?! i heard about butter london, and I’ve always wanted to try it!!
Whoa, three bottles of glorious, chemical-laden polish for one bottle of chemical-free goop?
No way! I’m never giving up my good old chemicals!
that is actually the WORST earth friendly idea that i have ever heard. why would we want to fill landfills with slow-to-decompose nail polish for no reason except to get a new bottle? here’s how to really be environmentally conscious: use up those old nail polishes, THEN go out and buy the new toxic chemical free kind.
I live in Canada, just outsid eof Toronto, does anyone know of any retailer that carried Butter London in Canada?
This is awesome – thanks for letting us know about this. I have been liking the Butter London polish so far.
Oh, Katie, Holt Renfrew now carries Butter London nail polishes.
Thanks, I plan on getting to Holt’s soon. I have been looking for a colour like Old Vic for awhile now.
I live in Toronto, not very far from Holt’s downtown, and I bet there will be a big mark-up from the price posted on the website. If anyone has tried their polish, could you tell us if the quality is worth the price tag of 15-20 dollars? I tend to buy OPI, CND, or Sally Hansen because they are reasonably priced and are mostly big 2 or 3 free. Does Butter compare favourably to the coverage and wear of these brands?
Thanks in advance!
Love the colours. I bought some "Hen Party" at Lux in Edmonton. Good to know I can get it here. It was $15 there and I love the product – very fast drying.
