“No Time for That” Beauty – Time-Saving Products
Going back to school has left me with even less time to get ready in the morning. Late night studying coupled with early morning classes means my go-to, 5-Minute Makeup look is out the door. It’s more like One-Minute Makeup. Enough to look alive and like I didn’t just roll out of bed. To cope, I’ve changed up my routine, replacing my “No Time for That” rituals with products/techniques that I actually have time for.
Moisture in a Minute
I have naturally dry skin, especially on my elbows, ankles and hands, so I can’t skip body moisturizer in the fall, but I have “no time for” thick creams that take longer to absorb and delay dressing. That’s why I started using Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Spray Moisturizer. The continuous spray lotion contains micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly and absorbs in seconds with no greasy feel.
Bonus: It’s unscented, so I can layer cozy fall fragrances over it with no conflict. Since I’ve declared my love of Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturizers in the past, I’m thrilled that Vaseline created a version with 2x the moisturizing power. Perfect for colder weather!
Brows & Tightlining
When I was in college the first time around, I never left the dorm without my M.I.L.K. (Money, ID, Lipstick, Keys). Now that I’m older, I find that if I don’t have on liner and fill in my brows, I look super tired. Especially when I wear my glasses. But, I have “no time for” a full brow fill with pencil AND a complete gel eyeliner application.
Instead, I rely on my holy grail product, L’Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Plumper. This brow mascara/gel fills in thin spots with a couple swipes and makes my brows look fuller. I swear there are little fibers that grip to my hairs, giving them a 3-D appearance.
Next, I take a second to run Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in West around the inner rim of my eye (top and bottom). It’s just a subtle darkening of the rim, but it makes me feel like “Eyeliner Richard” from Lost. Like my eyes are naturally that defined. The best part, it takes no real precision, just a lack of squeamishness when dealing with the eye area.
Naked, Not Bare, Nails
As much as I try to keep my nails polished at all times, it’s just not reality. The thing is, my nails are weak, and I don’t want them exposed to the elements, putting me at risk for splits, peels and cracks. I have “no time for” a precise coat of color, so I paint on a quick coat of Zoya Naked Manicure Pink Perfector before running out the door.
Yes, I could slap on a simple treatment base coat, but my nails are a bit discolored and this is like lip balm for the nails; moisturizing with just a hint of streak-free color. Makes me hate the look of my naked nails a little less.
What are your “no time for” rituals that you’ve learned to replace in the interest of time. I would love to hear your tips for getting ready faster in the morning. Have you tried the new Vaseline Advanced Repair Spray?
