Makeup Wars: Color Wars – Teal
I know I’ve mentioned it in the past but one of the best things to come from starting this blog is the people I’ve met. Readers, brand reps and my fellow beauty bloggers. My blogging buddies have become some of my closest friends, which is why I’m thrilled to be joining a group of my fave ladies in Makeup Wars!
Makeup Wars is a battle among bloggers to share their favorite products in a variety of topics; fave purple nail polish, best sunscreens, etc. This week is Color Wars! Each blogger in the group selected a shade to highlight and I chose TEAL!
I have an affection for teal since it combines two of my favorite shades, blue and green. And unlike Jennifer Lopez’s character in The Wedding Planner, I do not associate teal with “the color of gangrene.” It’s a fab accent color for eyes and simply stunning on nails.
Not only is teal shaping up to be one of the hot colors for Fall 2013, it’s also part of my FingerPaints A Pair Affair by All Lacquered Up collection. And today I’m thrilled to give you the first real look at FingerPaints Our Tips Are Tealed, paired with one of my all-time favorite eyeliners. Plus, I have three more gorgeous teal polishes to share.

First Look – FingerPaints “A Pair Affair” by All Lacquered Up
Today I’m thrilled to share with you a first look at the nail polish collection I created for Sally Beauty, FingerPaints “A Pair Affair” by All Lacquered Up. Three duos of on-trend shades for multi-colored manicures, manicure-pedicure combos, and nail art.
I shared that the collection would include a green, a glass-fleck sage to be exact, partnered with a glass-fleck purple (more of a blurple). Well now you can see that the other duos consist of a sparkly teal with a glittering sand and a sultry, smoky blue shimmer with a rainbow glitter-packed coral jelly.

I’m so truly proud of how the collection turned out and I can’t wait to show you swatches and my favorite ways to wear the duos.

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you may remember seeing pics from my visit to the Sally Beauty Headquarters last June. Well, that’s where it all began. From submitting color concepts, to approving and disapproving over 50 color samples, to brainstorming names and helping design the displays, I’m proud to be able to finally share this exciting news with you all.
The FingerPaints A Pair Affair by All Lacquered Up collection is just as the name suggests, three duos of on-trend shades meant to be used for multi-colored manicures, mani/pedi combos and nail art.
The display image gives away one of the pairs, purple & green (like there wouldn’t be a green!) but I’ll be giving you sneak peek at the full collection in the coming weeks. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Normally this would give an “indoor kid” like me the heebie jeebies but I can’t get mad at the adorable bejeweled rings that come with each bottle. It’s the only way a bee or beetle would EVER come in contact with my skin on purpose.
