Deborah Lippmann

Deborah Lippmann on Gilt.com

If you’ve been wanting to try Deborah Lippmann polishes but your budget has kept you from taking the plunge, today is your day. Deborah Lippmann products will be on Gilt.com today starting at NOON EST. The deals on Gilt are usually pretty good so here’s your chance to snatch up some Lippmann shades for less than retail.
Click to visit Deborah Lippmann on Gilt.com

If you aren’t familiar with Gilt, it’s a sample sale site similar to Hautelook, Rue La La, Ideeli, etc. Every day they list new sales that run for a limited time.  It’s designer goods at a discount and it’s pretty addictive but some of the sales are so fabulous.  I got the cutest gray leather Betsey Johnson bag during a Bag Borrow or Steal Private Event sale and I’ve been carrying it nonstop.

If you end up shopping the sale, let me know what you bought.  I’m hoping they have her Steppin Out foot creme since it looks like it’s been discontinued and the boyfriend used up my whole tub.  That’s what I get for sharing with him!

Disclosure: The links in this post are referral links. If you sign up for Gilt or any sample sale site and make a purchase I will receive a small commission for the referral just like any other member. For more info view my Disclosure Policy.

lady gaga wearing gray nails on vanity fair's september 2010 issue Just when you thought gray nail polish was over, Lady Gaga makes it hot again on the cover of September’s Vanity Fair.  For the past few days I’ve been getting emails and tweets from readers and fellow bloggers all wondering what that mystery gray polish is on Gaga’s nails.

Never fear, your trusty nail sleuth is here. I love a challenge and I’m such a pop culture fiend that researching this sort of thing is fun for me.  Though what’s funny is I actually had a gut reaction when I saw this cover and, as it turns out, the first email I sent turned out to be the right one.

So what famous manicurist to the stars polished Lady Gaga’s nails to perfection?  And what color did she use?  Make a guess before you click to find out.

Deborah Lippmann Fall 2010 – Across The Universe & Bad Romance Swatches & Review

deborah-lippmann-across-the-universe-bad-romance-nordstrom There ain’t no party like a glitter party cuz a glitter party don’t stop!

Are you ready to kick off the holiday weekend with a blingasm?  I know I am!!  I told you back in February that for the second half of 2010 Deborah Lippmann is hosting a glitter spectacular and it all starts with her Fall 2010 collection.

I’ve always been a lukewarm Beatles fan.  I own a few albums but I don’t live and die for them.  Then the movie musical Across The Universe came out and I was smitten.  Who knew Jim Sturgess could belt it out?

The dreamy, mermaid-esque blue glitter baring the same name is a perfect fit for the trippy, lullaby sounding tune and the whimsical film.  Meanwhile the black-based magenta glitter, Bad Romance, is both hard-edge and feminine much like Lady Gaga.

Deborah Lippmann Spring 2010 Swatches & Review

deborah-lippmann-waking-up-in-vegas-spring-2010 While I was backstage at the ADAM show, I had the chance to chat with Deborah Lippmann whose team was polishing the models’ nails with Fashion for the runway.  We talked about the look of the show of course (more on that later) but we also discussed what’s next for her line.

First off, while there was no official announcement, the brand name has changed to Deborah Lippmann as opposed to Lippmann Collection.  The nail polish packaging is different as well.  The white and blue paper boxes have been replaced with clear acetate so the gorgeous bottle and color are no longer hidden on display shelves.

For Spring 2010 Deb created a duo of soft pretty cremes named I’m Not Innocent (semi-sheer) and Waking Up In Vegas (opaque).  Check them out after the jump along with some exciting advance info on her upcoming Summer, Fall & Holiday colors.
