With so many mass brand products ranging from $8-12 or more, you really have to scour the sale ads and take advantage of drugstore rewards program to get quality. Keep reading to see how I did it.

NOTD – L’Oreal Neons Punchy Lychee Dotticure
L’Oreal Punchy Lychee and Rimmel BritPop
This bright dotticure was inspired by the little girls who live on my street. A couple of them like to pop by when the boyfriend and I are dining on our deck and they’ve become fascinated with my nail polish room and constantly changing manicures. In fact, one held her arms out wide and declared, “Your obsession is this big,” when looking into my office. She’s totally right, ha!
Anyway, last night they came over and I invited them in to see all the Helmer drawers of color, swatch wheels and random nonsense in my room. And together, they decided that my nails needed polka dots in these two colors so I went with it. The 4-year-old who LOVES pink, as most little girls do, was adamant that this new L’Oreal Colour Riche shade go on my nails.
I used the L’Oreal Neons shade, Punchy Lychee, with Rimmel LONDON Salon Pro shade, BritPop, for the dots. And even though Punchy Lychee is more orange-coral than pink-coral, as the bottle color inferred, I love this combo and may need to consult with them from now on. I mean, I have the same taste in music as the 10-year-old, so, why not?

So, naturally, when I came upon a Rimmel London Sweetie Crush display at my local Rite-Aid, I couldn’t leave without a couple. I mean, candy-colored glittery texture. Bargain basement pricing. How could I not?
Makeup Wars: Color Wars – Teal
I know I’ve mentioned it in the past but one of the best things to come from starting this blog is the people I’ve met. Readers, brand reps and my fellow beauty bloggers. My blogging buddies have become some of my closest friends, which is why I’m thrilled to be joining a group of my fave ladies in Makeup Wars!
Makeup Wars is a battle among bloggers to share their favorite products in a variety of topics; fave purple nail polish, best sunscreens, etc. This week is Color Wars! Each blogger in the group selected a shade to highlight and I chose TEAL!
I have an affection for teal since it combines two of my favorite shades, blue and green. And unlike Jennifer Lopez’s character in The Wedding Planner, I do not associate teal with “the color of gangrene.” It’s a fab accent color for eyes and simply stunning on nails.
Not only is teal shaping up to be one of the hot colors for Fall 2013, it’s also part of my FingerPaints A Pair Affair by All Lacquered Up collection. And today I’m thrilled to give you the first real look at FingerPaints Our Tips Are Tealed, paired with one of my all-time favorite eyeliners. Plus, I have three more gorgeous teal polishes to share.

ALU’s 365 of Untrieds – Rimmel London Steel Gray
365 of Untrieds is my personal challenge to weed through the polishes in the ALU stash that I’ve been wanting to try but just haven’t gotten around to.Back when Chanel Particulière was making nail polish headlines, there was talk of a potential dupe in Rimmel London Steel Grey.
