OPI Summer Flutter Collection Swatches & Review
American Apparel Nail Lacquer Swatches & Review
![]() As I reported, there was a recall due to a bottle issue but to AA’s credit they rectified the situation in a timely manner. Prior to that I was sent a few polishes by the brand for review but I was only into one of the colors. I’ve been meaning to hop over to my local American Apparel store to pick up the more “me” shades but I really hate the parking sitch in that area so I couldn’t drag myself over there just for polish until recently. I know that makes me a bad polish fanatic and believe me, I’m totally kicking myself for waiting so long. See why after the jump! |
OPI Shrek Forever After Collection Swatches, Review and Comparisons
![]() Fanatics, can you please join me in a standing ovation for OPI and Suzi Weiss-Fischmann for creating a collection with NO REDS OR PINKS!! It took a big, smelly ogre to make this magical moment happen but I’m not complaining. The Shrek Forever After Collection is OPIs addition to their ongoing Summer Brights series and I’m totally into it. Surely, OPI could have found a reason to include a red or pink in this collection but I applaud them for not playing it safe. A swampy, ogre green isn’t exactly conservative and I love that. In fact, looking at the colors it’s like they were designed to be mani/pedi combinations. The lilac & purple, sky & cyan blue and yellow & green. They’re just meant to be together. |
Essie Resort Collection Swatches, Review & Comparisons
![]() I have to say, Essie’s colors are starting to win my heart again. She’s introducing more “me” shades and I LOVE it. Granted the Art of Spring wasn’t my style but she has a pretty large fan base to please. I mean I get that she’s known for stunning reds, sheers and neutrals but I’m just not that kind of girl. I guess in NYC speak my nail flavor is more “downtown” than “uptown” so when Essie creates colors like Turquoise & Caicos and Lapis of Luxury, I’m ALL IN! Check them out after the jump! |
Chanel Nouvelle Vague, Mistral & Riviera Swatches, Review and Comparisons
![]() Now Peter Philips continues the tradition by creating a free-spirited makeup collection inspired by an idyllic seaside vista: LES POP-UP DE CHANEL, fresh new cult-worthy hues for lips and nails. Vibrant pops of colour, including neon pink, sunny coral and brilliant turquoise are beautifully complemented by bronzed, glowing skin. . . and sure to be the standout shades of summer. Chanel’s Summer 2010 collection will be rolling out to stores before you know and it and with it comes the highly anticipated Nouvelle Vague (turquoise), Riviera (intense pink) and Mistral (soft pink) nail polishes. I’ve been dying to get my mitts on what looked to be a blue version of Jade since I first saw promo pics pop up online. Following up Jade Collection fever with a turquoise shimmer could cause quite a craze but does Nouvelle Vague live up to the expectation? Find out after the jump! |
