Orly ‘Tis The Season Holiday 2010 Gift Set
One of the things I always look forward to when the holiday collections come out are the gift sets. Whether it is sets of minis or a selection of colors paired with a fun gift item, I always get suckered in.
If a set includes a bag, a cute stuffed animal, a holiday themed tool, etc. you can pretty much bet I’m all over it. The Orly ‘Tis The Season gift set is no exception. Of the six polishes in the ‘Tis The Season collection, Orly paired the traditional red creme, luscious green sparkler and white, icing-esque sheer with a metallic red clutch. |
Illamasqua Scarab & Viridian from the Art of Darkness Collection
In case you haven’t heard, the Sephora Friends & Family Sale started yesterday. You get 20% off your online order with the code FF2010. If you’re still contemplating an order you might want to think about including one of my fave UK brands, the Sephora exclusive Illamasqua.
The Fall 2010 Art of Darkness collection is out and it includes two new nail colors, Viridian and Scarab. |
ALU NYFW NOTD Challenge – Day 3
The days are getting longer people and I’m in serious need of sleep but I’m powering through New York Fashion Week like a champ. Even though my feet want to go on strike, the humidity is having its way with my hair and I can’t seem to remember what day it is, I’m having an absolute blast. I figure I can sleep when I get home so I may as well make the most of my time here and I’ve been doing just that.
Saturday was Day 3 of my NYFW experience and I was feeling the need to keep my green streak going. After rocking RBL Anne and Chanel Khaki Vert it was time for something dark and creamy. Enter Maybelline Grand In Green. But what fun is wearing just one color when you’re at Fashion Week? I pulled in GiG’s collection sibling, Gray-T Glamour for a funky but easy to replicate manicure. MAC Nail Trend F/W 10 Comparisons
MAC Nail Trend F/W 10 officially launches today at MAC counters nationwide. The polishes went up on the MAC website Tuesday and surprisingly they have not sold out. Perhaps due to the craze over Fabulous Felines.
Speaking of Fabulous Felines, if you’re like me and totally intimidated by liquid liner I highly suggest you try the Superslick Liquid Eye Liners in this collection. I swear on my Helmers that they’re so easy to apply, I just may give up my pots of Fluidline and I’ve been using them for YEARS. On to the reason you’re all here. I wanted to give you some color comparisons before the Nail Trend colors sold out so thank you to everyone who submitted swatch suggestions. |
