Golden Globes 2015 Nail Art – Kate Hudson in Versace

The Golden Globes is always my favorite award show of the season. The combination of television and film stars with free flowing booze usually results in a very fun night. Last night’s show fell a little flat but the red carpet was full of excitement. From Kiera Knightly’s gown that made me question what is going on at Chanel to Julieanne Moore’s liquid metallic ombre (with feathers!) it was a feast for the fashion eye.

While metallics were clearly a trend, what I really loved is a look that’s also big in nails, cutouts or negative space. Rosamund Pike, Emily Blunt and Jane Fonda all worked the trend but it was Kate Hudson that caused me to gasp in this white and silver Versace design. It’s nail art as fashion and the inspiration for my Golden Globes Negative Space Nails.

Nails Inc by Victoria, Victoria Beckham

We’ve barely said goodbye to the holidays and the spring collections are already rolling in. Hell, I still have my tree up and I really don’t want to take it down. But, with the arrival of spring colors comes the promise of longer days and warmer weather.

This spring, Nails Inc has collaborated with Victoria Beckham to create a set of shades that exemplify the feeling of her Ready-To-Wear collection. The Japanese-inspired shades, Bamboo White and Judo Red, come in a frosted, limited edition version of the new Nails Inc bottle design.

Cult Nails Secret Collection

On Christmas Eve, I was taken with this manicure posted on the Cult Nails Instagram page using the “Secret Collection.” The concept being that you didn’t know the contents during the pre-sale. Now that the pre-sale is over, the cat is out of the bag.

A quick jump over to CultNails.com and I spied this “mystery” collection on sale for half off. With a green and blue in the lineup, it was a no-brainer for me.

Bronze & Gold Lace Nail Art

Happy New Year! It’s crazy to think that it’s been eight years since I started All Lacquered Up. Eight years! It was a time when 3-Free was barely a thing. When I discovered a basically unknown brand at a Seattle airport kiosk called butter LONDON.

When I was the only nail blogger. When all of my nail polish fit in one cabinet as compared to needing its own room. So many amazing things have happened since then, so many changes. But one thing remains the same, my love of nail polish and desire to share it with you.

The traditional 8th anniversary gift is bronze and the modern gift is lace so I decided to combine the two in a bronze & gold lace nail art look. Take a trip down memory lane with me and enjoy my tribute manicure.
