CND Sparkling Effects Holiday Duo
Have you missed me Fanatics? I’ve missed you. This ALU post outage was brought to you by the letters “T” “W” and “C” (Time Warner Cable). Apparently my modem was so ancient the tech was amazed it still worked. Obviously TWC can’t say “I’m right on top of that Rose.” a la Christina Applegate in Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead.
Venting aside I have a fun holiday item to share with you from CND. If you haven’t picked up the vibe already, Holiday 2010 is one big old glitter party. And in the case of the CND Silver & Gold Sparkling Effects Duo, all that glitters IS gold (and silver). These two limited edition Effects, one cool & one warm, are sure to add the right kick of glam to your holiday manicures. This set is just one of the many prizes included in the Think Pink – Donate & Win Giveaway so keep reading for a glimpse at what you could win. |

The Fall 2010 Art of Darkness collection is out and it includes two new nail colors, Viridian and Scarab. |
Estee Lauder Holiday 2010 Nails – Extravagant Pearl & Extravagant Night
The Estee Lauder Holiday 2010 collection is filled with rich golds and reds that sound like your typical holiday fare but thanks to Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux, these traditional shades were given a glamorous twist.
“Fantasy, luxury and of course femininity were my inspirations for this Holiday collection. There are many lip and eye colors to play with and they all have a wonderful texture for an easy application.” Tom Pecheux, Creative Makeup Director, Estée Lauder It’s been a while since an Estee Lauder nail polish has really grabbed me but Extravagant Night brings a sultry party to the nails. And its pale gold counterpart, Extravagant Pearl, is the shade we saw gracing the Derek Lam runway just last month at New York Fashion Week. |
OPI Burlesque Collection for Holiday 2010 Swatches, Review & Comparisons
This holiday, OPI hits a high note with the release of Sony Pictures’ upcoming film Burlesque. With an all-star cast including Cher and Christina Aguilera, this musical written and directed by Steven Antin opens nationwide in theaters on November 24, 2010.
OPI’s Holiday 2010 collection marks the third film collaboration for the brand this year. Following up the sell out successes of Alice In Wonderland and Shrek, the Burlesque lineup is sure to follow suit. This year OPI has flipped the script by forgoing their usual six reds in varying finishes to give us six shimmers in warm metallics, a vampy plum and some more traditional reds. “OPI is thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems on this exciting movie release,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “The colors were modeled off the majestic glamour, over-the-top costumes and mesmerizing Cabaret that are typically seen in Burlesque performances. The resulting bright, dazzling shades are perfect for the holiday season.” |
