Deborah Lippmann Summer 2014 80s Rewind Swatches and Review
Is anyone else obsessed with the “80s Project” on Grey’s Anatomy? If you aren’t in the know, the second half of the season featured unique covers of creator Shonda Rhimes’ favorite 80s tunes. We’re talking, “Take On Me”, “Tainted Love”, “Fame”, etc. I hope they sell them as a compilation.
Between that and the Deborah Lippmann Summer 2014 “80s Rewind” collection, I’m loving this celebration of my favorite decade for music.

PinspiratioNAIL – Maybelline Bleached Neons Interlocking Dots Nail Art Tutorial
Normally, when I see a neon nail polish collection, I cringe a bit inside. While bright and fun, neons are notorious problem children. They are plagued by opacity issues, streaks and the need for a white base coat. In other words… TOO.MUCH.WORK!
Thankfully, we’re seeing some non-traditional neons this season, like Essie’s version and now the Maybelline Color Show Bleached Neons, which are a not-so-in-your-face take on the day-glow brights we typically associate with the genre. The overiding theme of Chanel’s Summer 2014 Collection, Reflets D’Été de Chanel, is all about mixing rich, bold color. The four, new super saturated Chanel nail polish shades (Eastern Light is a re-promote) certainly lend themselves to the art of color combining.
