ALU’s 365 of Untrieds – Inglot O2M 646
365 of Untrieds is my personal challenge to weed through the polishes in the ALU stash that I’ve been wanting to try but just haven’t gotten around to.
The Inglot store in Times Square and I were never meant to meet. I first spotted it over a year ago while on a late night walkabout in the city. I was happy to see that, like most stores in the area, it was open til midnight. Except I pulled on the doors only to find them locked, leaving all the pretty nail polishes within eyesight but out of my reach. A few nights later I returned with a friend only to be rebuffed, yet again,by locked doors even though there were employees inside who refused to look our way. I was BITTER. Then last May I attended The Makeup Show in NYC where Inglot was exhibiting and I finally got my hands on their polishes. Their booth was a madhouse and you had to fight hoards of makeup fiends to get near the table but I exited victorious, three new Inglots in hand. Today I’m giving Inglot 646 from the O2M Breathable Nail Enamel line a try. |

Of course, at the time, whenever I would remember to look for it at my local drugstore it was sold out. Then a few months back I picked up a bottle and I”m just now getting around to trying it out. |

You may remember that back in October, just before the big RBL sale, that I mentioned wanting a bottle of Glamourpuss in my sale order. Well, you naughty little minxes beat me to the punch and the color was sold out before I could get my order in. Fortunately, a friend was kind enough to gift me with a bottle and it’s taken me until now to use it. Let’s take a gander, shall we? |
ALU 365 of Untrieds – Rescue Beauty Lounge Drifter
365 of Untrieds is my personal challenge to weed through the polishes in the ALU stash that I’ve been wanting to try but just haven’t gotten around to.
If you follow the Rescue Beauty Lounge Blog, Facebook page or Twitter account than you know that RBL founder Ji Baek is doing another round of Bring It Back voting where the fans get to decide which discontinued colors will come back to life. After a successful vote last fall that resulted in the ressurection of fan faves Bikini Bottom, Bruised, Purple Haze and Black Russian. This time around the vote begins Friday April 15th and 21 discontinued polish colors are in the running to be brought back to life. The top three vote getters will make a triumphant return. As I was looking at the list of contenders I realized that there are few colors I own but haven’t swatched. Rescue Beauty Lounge Drifter is one of those. I bought Drifter over a year and a half ago and ended up filing it away before I even wore it. What a shame that was. See what I mean… |
ALU’s 365 of Untrieds – Nicole by OPI Fresh Squeezed
365 of Untrieds is my personal challenge to weed through the polishes in the ALU stash that I’ve been wanting to try but just haven’t gotten around to.
Three years ago, Rihanna stopped traffic on the Grammy red carpet when she paired an electric blue dress with nails adorned in traffic cone orange, kicking off the orange nail polish trend of Summer 2008. Well orange is back people. It’s one of the biggest trends for Spring/Summer 2011 though this time around it’s more about brights than neon. I’ve worn a lot of orange polishes in the past so I wasn’t sure I would find anything that I haven’t at least tested on one nail and then I came across Nicole by OPI Fresh Squeezed. Fresh Squeezed came out last year when I was all up in my turquoise phase and couldn’t get into it but, its time has come. |
