Essie Fall 2014 Striped Nail Art for #ManiMonday
First, thank you to everyone who commented, emailed, tweeted in response to the post about my baby Loki. I can’t tell you how much it means to me. I’m still reading through everything, it’s hard to do all at once, and responding but the support is amazing.
That being said, it’s #ManiMonday and when I shared the Essie Fall 2014 collection, I mentioned how I thought Take It Outside would make a great nail art base and that I wanted to pair it with Style Cartel and Fall In Line. Tune In – Nail’d It!, The First Nail Art Competition Reality Show
A quick check of my DVR will reveal that I’m a reality TV junkie, especially competition shows that require actual talent. That’s why the nail fanatic in me is excited to watch Nail’d It!, premiering October 7th at 9/8c only on Oxygen.
It’s the first nail art competition show, hosted by Adrian Bailon, featuring up and coming nail artists and an all-star judging panel, including CND Co-Founder Jan Arnold, Celebrity MAN-icurist Tom Bachik and “The Nail Villian” and Celebrity Nail Stylist, Terrance Terry.
To give you an idea of what’s in store, I have a clip from a “Quick Dry Challenge” for you with some sick nail designs. Check it out!

As New York Fashion Week begins, I can’t help but lament not being there. Mainly because of all the genius beauty gurus and writer friends I get to see when covering backstage. Jin Soon Choi is one of those people because she is an arbiter of nail fashion and one of the warmest, friendliest people you will ever meet.
So, while I sit here in Cleveland, watching the action from afar, I take some joy in wearing Jin’s latest collection, a fashion collaboration, JINsoon Tess Giberson for Fall 2014. Jin has a knack for delivering finishes that are unique and interesting yet understated and this collection is no exception.

Anastasia Maya Mia Palette Tutorial and Review
The Makeup Wars gang is tackling another palette, featuring a diverse range of looks and tutorials using the same product. This time, it’s the Anastasia Beverly Hills Maya Mia Palette. The warm-toned palette is not a color range I would normally gravitate towards so I was excited to take on the challenge of stepping outside my eye shadow comfort zone.
