Golden Globes Inspired Nail Art Tutorial – Mila Kunis in Gucci Premiere
Last night was so much fun, you guys! Not only did the Golden Globes air, my fave award show of the season, but I co-hosted the very first #NailGlossip twitter chat with Sarah from Chalkboard Nails and Jen from The PolishAholic. It was so great dishing on the award show looks with fellow nail fanatics. The hour flew by and I can’t wait for the next one, January 26th (Grammy night).
During the chat, @NailedKit asked if any dresses inspired us to create nail art so I threw down the challenge that we should all try our hand at some Golden Globes inspired designs. When it comes to holiday nails, I’m all, “Go Glitter or Go Home!” And no one throws a glitter party quite like Deborah Lippmann. She is the queen of festive but chic glitter nail polish and while her creations are often duplicated, you have to give snaps to the originator.

Deborah Lippmann Fall 2013 “Jewel Heist” – Swatches & Review
Diamonds may be some girl’s best friend but I’ll take emeralds and sapphires any day of the week and clearly Deborah Lippmann is on the same page this fall. Lippmann’s Jewel Heist collection takes a trio of rich, jewel tones and elevates them to a whole new blingtastic level with a set of holographic glitter top coats to match.
You know the old pickup line, “Your daddy must have been a thief because he stole the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes.” Well, Deborah Lippmann must have been a thief because she robbed a jewelry store and put the gems in her polish. Watch the shimmering emerald, vampy sapphire blue and a multi-dimensional gold pop off the page with the addition of the complex, rainbow-reflecting glitters. Like a magpie, you’ll have a hard time focusing on anything else.
