Chanel Fall 2011 Illusions d’Ombres de Chanel Nail Polish Preview
Last winter we got a peek at one of the Chanel Fall 2011 nail polishes when Chanel Graphite hit the runway but it’s Chanel Peridot that seems to be getting all the buzz. Is it green? Is it yellow? Are we talking Chanel duo-chrome?
Inspired by the heritage and savoir faire of the artisanal craftsmanship of the House of Chanel, Peter Philips, Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, introduces new textures and makeup effects in a radiant Fall 2011 Collection, ILLUSIONS D’OMBRES DE CHANEL.
At the heart of this captivating colour story: Shimmering bronze, gold and platinum are the perfect complements to plum, khaki and copper shades on eyes and lips. Unique reflections of metallic green, silver and beige on nails provide the ideal counterpoint.

Deborah Lippmann “Get This Party Started” Preview for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
More like, let’s get this GLITTER party started! As part of Nordstrom’s annual Anniversary Sale, Deborah Lippmann has yet again put together a glitzed out set of glitter polishes called Get This Party Started.
Nothing says ‘Party’ like the magnetic sparkle of glitter. So for the biggest party season of the year, I’ve created shades that truly dazzle. Get This Party Started, a set of three glitters, was inspired by the overwhelming demand for my best selling Happy Birthday, a glittery party in a bottle. The set includes Happy Birthday, along with two new variations of the sparkling shade: Forget You and Candy Shop. They’re both packed with the same unique hexagon-shaped glitter that gives Happy Birthday its magnificent glint, only Forget You has a sheer black base and Candy Shop a bubblegum pink.

It’s time to play the musicIt’s time to light the lights It’s time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight Oh.My.Gosh!! The Muppets are partnering with OPI. Let me repeat. THE MUPPETS ARE PARTNERING WITH OPI!!! I can’t even begin to tell you how thrilled I am over this news. I tend to love OPI’s Holiday collections more than any other in the whole year but with the Muppets involved I’m already calling it THE collection of 2011. As a kid I lived for Sunday nights when The Muppet Show would come on and I still have my Kermit and Miss Piggy puppets from way back then. I seriously worship the genius of the late Jim Henson and watched anything he was involved with; Labyrinth, Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas, The Tale of the Bunny Picnic, Fraggle Rock. I seriously freaked out when I saw Bean Bunny at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Don’t judge I also cried when I met Tigger! What? |

***EDITED TO ADD – While I do not have an official release date, based on previous OPI Holiday launches, I would expect to see these on shelves no later than November 1st, 2011. Burlesque was pushed up to October 1st so that is a possibility as well.

Preview the Chanel Spring 2011 Colors
Thanks to the amazing Sophy Robson we’re getting a sneak peek at the Chanel Spring 2011 Collection polishes that were spotted on the Paris runway back in October.
We knew about Black Pearl and Pearl Drop but there’s also a color called Peche Nacree that I haven’t heard anything about. I wonder if that will be part of a secondary spring collection or summer.
If you want to see what they look like on the nail, head on over to Sophy’s Blog where she included a swatch pic. Now that we can see Black Pearl painted properly on a nail, it’s clear that there’s some green in the color which makes me squeal with delight!
Also, as you notice Sophy started watermarking her images, just like I do. It’s a shame we have to wreck our photos with an ugly watermark but until people learn to stop using images without giving credit, it’s an unnecessary evil. Though I guess it’s a compliment that people want to use the photos, right?
