Fanatics, take a second and glare at the bottle of green Lancôme gorgeousness on the left. That’s right, I said glare! Why? Because for some inexplicable reason Lancôme has decided to NOT release Pop Petrol from the Spring Ô My Rose collection in the US.
You see, I got all sorts of giddy when I saw promo pics of this collection popping up on beauty blogs left and right. I raced to get more details from the reps at Lancôme only to find out that Pop Petrol would not grace us with its presence. Oh the humanity! So, you lucky, lucky European Fanatics, this time you win! However, thanks to my friends at Lancôme I not only have the chance to tease share this baby’s beauty with you, I am able to send a bottle of Pop Petrol to live with one lucky Fanatic. For Spring ’10 Nail Colors, Rescue Beauty Hangs Ten With Proenza Schouler’s cool surfer girls.
“Let’s go surfing now, Everybody’s learning how, Come on and safari with me!” – The Beach Boys. Being a Midwest girl that never saw the California coast until a few years ago, the Cali surf culture brings up flashes of Gidget, Frankie & Annette flicks, The Beach Boys and Dick Dale’s “Misirlou” which any Pulp Fiction fan would recognize. I’m sure that’s not at ALL what Proenza Schouler had in mind when they created their Spring ’10 collection. They envisioned a much hipper surf girl. One that can ride the big waves with the best of them, then slip on a chic, colorful dress and party all night. It’s the modern surfer girl that inspired Ji Baek’s Spring collection for Rescue Beauty Lounge. |
Need It! – MAC Give Me Liberty “Blue India” Nail Lacquer
Oh for the love of all things polish, I just about DIED when I saw British Beauty Blogger’s MAC Give Me Liberty preview. An adorned bottle… a grayed blue creme… need I say more?? I seriously felt my pulse race. Do I have something in my collection that is similar? Probably. Do I care? HELL NO! This collection is slated to launch in April and it better come to the US. MAC gods, make it so!

Am I alone in my excitement? Who else is with me? Or am I just letting my inner MAC-addict get the best of me? You know I’m a sucker for special packaging. After all I have my Barbie, Fafi, Heatherette and Hello Kitty collection products still in their boxes. It’s a sickness and I’m not looking for a cure!

Zoya Reverie Collection Swatches & Review
If there’s one thing I’m certain of this Spring, there is no true theme for nail color. We’re seeing brights, nudes, holos, greens and with the launch of Zoya Reverie, metallics.
I have to admit, when I first saw the promo images I was intrigued by the duo-chrome look of Adina, but feeling unsure of the rest. After having some time to play with the collection, I’m pleased to say there is more than one gem in this bunch. Check them out after the jump! |
