PC or MAC? Android or iPhone? In the world of pop, the big debate has always been Coke or Pepsi? Remember the taste wars of the 80s? For me, it’s always been Coke. And yes, this Ohio girl says “pop.”
I remember going to Atlanta for a work trip and geeking out over Coca-Cola paraphernalia. You should see the amount of Coke glassware, barware and signage in my house. It’s a “bit” much. So, you can imagine how excited I was to hear that OPI partnered with Coca-Cola on a nine piece nail polish collection, Coca-Cola by OPI, inspired by the brand’s lineup soft drinks.

PinspiratioNAIL – Maybelline Bleached Neons Interlocking Dots Nail Art Tutorial
Normally, when I see a neon nail polish collection, I cringe a bit inside. While bright and fun, neons are notorious problem children. They are plagued by opacity issues, streaks and the need for a white base coat. In other words… TOO.MUCH.WORK!
Thankfully, we’re seeing some non-traditional neons this season, like Essie’s version and now the Maybelline Color Show Bleached Neons, which are a not-so-in-your-face take on the day-glow brights we typically associate with the genre. I decided to tackle one of my first PinspiratioNAIL pins, a look I’ve been wanting to try for a while now, with these punchy new shades.

NARS Libertango from the Summer 2014 Adult Swim Collection for #ManiMonday
What is it about warmer weather that draws me to creme polishes? Can someone explain this? I get wanting glitters and sparkle around the holidays, darker shades in the winter, lights & brights in the spring but when the sun starts peeking out on a regular basis, I want rich, glossy color and I don’t get the correlation.
Anyway, when it came time to select my #ManiMonday shade, I remembered that the boyfriend actually paused to notice when NARS Libertango from the Summer 2014 Adult Swim collection arrived. Creme, check! Boyfriend approved, check! Done deal!

Tonal Teal Nail Art with Sally Hansen Summer 2014 Triple Shine Tahiti Sunset Collection
After three days of a fever, chills and a pounding headache that made opening my eyes feel like torture, I’m happy to be functioning enough to share some fun, tonal nail art with you. I spotted the Sally Hansen Summer 2014 Triple Shine “Tahiti Sunset” collection display at my local Bed, Bath & Beyond and couldn’t leave without Seasational and Archipela-Glow. They look fab on their own but are even better together.
