Detoxing With The Blueprint Cleanse
Last week I did something so unlike me. I decided to go on a three day juice cleanse. Now I’m not a fad diet person and I don’t typically jump on the bandwagon when it comes to trends but this one sucked me in. Why? Well I’ve been hearing about this company called Blueprint Cleanse on various blogs for over a year now and I was curious but not enough to order. I’ve often pondered the benefits of juicing, I used to love those Jack Lalanne informercials, but my lack of willpower kept me from finding out more. It wasn’t until I read about my pal Heather Park’s journey with BPC that I finally took the plunge.
Heather wrote on her blog about a feeling of clarity and lightness. She talked about how the cleanse changed her relationship with food and how it made her want to research becoming a raw foodist. For a carnivore like her, that’s a huge statement. All these things intrigued me and became the final push I needed to place an order. I realize that this isn’t a typical post for me but so many people on Twitter and Facebook showed interest in hearing about my experience that I decided to share it here. The Makeup Show NYC
Woo hoo, I’m back!! Back from where you ask?? Back from dealing with laptop issues. I had to get a new laptop and have all my files salvaged and transferred and it was SUCH a pain. Do you have any idea how many image files my old laptop had? Ridiculous!
Anyway now that all is right with the world I can start getting excited for my weekend in New York. For what? The Makeup Show NYC!! The Makeup Show is an industry trade show presented by The Powder Group and includes top brands in the biz exhibiting their products and leading makeup artists teaching seminars and hands on classes.
I’ve never been to the show before but I know a lot of my fellow bloggers have and they raved about it. I can’t WAIT to see all my blogging pals, peruse the brands and listen to artists like Charlie Green, Joanna Schlip and MAC’s own Romero Jennings and Keri Blair speak.
Curious about what brands will be represented? Becca, Crown Brush (LOVE their brushes!), Inglot, Knock Out Cosmetics, L’Oreal, MAC, Make Up For Ever, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (dying to get my hands on a Lip Tar), Shu Uemura, Smashbox, Three Custom Color and so many more that it’s overwhelming to think about.
If any of you are in the NYC area and planning to go, let me know. I’d love to meet some other nail girls while I’m in town.

Literally within minutes of watching Beyonce’s latest video, “Why Don’t You Love Me,” I was getting tweets to find out her nail polish color. Turquoise is huge this season so it’s no wonder that a trendsetter like Beyonce would be wearing the color on screen.
Beyoncé is always on her nail game thanks to her east & west coast nail team, Celebrity Manicurists Tom Bachik and Lisa Logan. After all she was one of the first celebs to wear Minx. The video, with its grainy old school vibe and Beyonce’s campy performance as a 60′s housewife, is the perfect platform for a soft sea foam nail. ALU Update from the Finger Lakes
Hi Fanatics! I’ve been in the Finger Lakes region of New York since Tuesday celebrating my 11th anniversary with the boyfriend. I realized early Wednesday morning that Sprint service is sketchy at best so I wasn’t able to get the rest of my posts scheduled for the week. In the meantime here are some photos from our wine tasting extravaganza that I took on my phone since that seems to be the only bit of technology I can get to connect to the janky cell service. I’ll be home in the a.m. so expect some weekend updates.
