essie Starry Starry Night is BACK!! Get Ready for Retro Revival.
Amazing news, you guys! So good, I am giddy every time I think about it being true.
Let’s back up a sec. A few weeks ago I caught wind of essie releasing a collection to celebrate the iconic brand’s 35th Anniversary, Retro Revival. At the time, five past shades were named for resurrection. Then, during our last #NailGlossip chat (next one is this Sunday), Kellie Gonzo shared the rumor that Starry Starry Night(!!!) was the sixth mystery shade. I mean, could it really be true? That the sought-after shade was making a comeback? Well, late last week essie confirmed its revival to much fanfare.
If you aren’t familiar, keep reading to see why essie Starry Starry Night’s return has nail fanatics, worldwide, in a frenzy!

Fri-Yay Nails – China Glaze Don’t Get Elfed Up
I can’t take it anymore, you guys. My nails have been naked for far too long, and while I’m in a better place with sight of bare nails, I NEED SOME COLOR. Especially since this is my last week of regular classes and I have a big speech to give tomorrow morning. I’m not the best public speaker, so I’m hoping that a festive manicure will give me confidence to get through it and ready for some weekend fun!
Choosing a color wasn’t hard. You know how I’ve been begging China Glaze to #BringBackGlassFleck, so when the Cheers! Holiday 2015 collection showed up, I immediately zeroed in on Don’t Get Elfed Up’s sparkly flecks. Could this be the glass-fleck I’ve been dreaming of?

Having a Treat Yo Self Moment. Help Me Choose
Hi everyone! I’ve been in end-of-semester hell, but I’m finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I haven’t painted my nails in weeks, (it’s a scary sitch, you guys), I have no polish on my toes (the horror!), and I’m avoiding all the Black Friday madness, but knowing that I’m rocking my classes makes it all worthwhile. So, I’ve decided to treat myself by indulging in the Shopbop Buy More, Save More Sale (CODE: GOBIG15), going on now through Cyber Monday, 11/30.
My rain/winter boot situation is in dire need of an upgrade, but I have all the ones pictured above in my cart, and can’t afford to treat myself that well. Please help me narrow things down. The Superga Wool Slip-Ons are a no-brainer, but I also want a bootie and a rain boot.
The options (clockwise from top left): MICHAEL Michael Kors Charm Stretch Booties, Madewell Chelsea Rain Booties, DAV Moto Quilted Boots, MICHAEL Michael Kors Whitaker Booties, DVF Whitney Rain Boots, Tretorn Kelly Winter Boots, Sorel Toronto Lace Wedge Booties.
I was all set to get the Sorel booties, but the fuzzy trim on the Michael Kors ones keep catching my eye. And I like that the Tretorn boots have a furry lining and the quilt pattern on the Davs, but the stretch on the Kors rain boots will be so much easier to get on when I’m running late (aka every day of my life). I could go on and on with my internal debate dialog, but I would rather hear what you have to say.
Which ones are you loving? Do you own any boots/booties from these brands, any raves/complaints? Are you planning to take advantage of the Shopbop sale?

Going back to school has left me with even less time to get ready in the morning. Late night studying coupled with early morning classes means my go-to, 5-Minute Makeup look is out the door. It’s more like One-Minute Makeup. Enough to look alive and like I didn’t just roll out of bed. To cope, I’ve changed up my routine, replacing my “No Time for That” rituals with products/techniques that I actually have time for.
