I’ve been involved in the world of beauty blogging for longer than the 7+ years I’ve been writing All Lacquered Up. I started reading beauty blogs when I was an active member of Makeup Alley and 9 times out of 10, I still opt for reading blogs over books or magazines.
So, narrowing down the products to feature in this week’s Makeup Wars topic, Blogger Recommendations, was a challenge, to say the least. Um, what don’t I use that I haven’t read about on a blog? To keep this from becoming a book, I chose the products that I use on the regular that were enabled by some of my fave beauty/nail bloggers.

Zoya Spring 2014 – Awaken and Monet Swatches & Review
Just as hotly anticipated as the Zoya Magical PixieDusts, Zoya Awaken and new glitter topper Monet bring sparkling power pastels, dreamy creams and a glowing metallic to the spring color table. Formula X for Sephora – New Liquid Crystals and Celestials for Spring 2014
Formula X for Sephora officially replaced the beloved Sephora by OPI line last fall and, to be honest, every time I go in the store, I am so overwhelmed by the immensity of the line that I can never decide on a just a couple shades to try and leave empty handed. I think it’s just too much all at once and my brain explodes looking at the display. You know what I mean?
Anyway, when I heard about the new Liquid Crystals collection, I just had to see them for myself. Inspired by stained glass, this Effects line is made from crushed micro-crystalline glass and light reflecting micas. And when I say that they glow, they GLOW.
